Malibu LTZ 2.4L

I just cannot understand how the manufacturer has a 2014 car and does not have the part for the car and they cannot give me a eta on when this part will be available. No one has this part. I have taken the car to dealership, firestone and checked every auto part store and they refer me back to GM. I just want my car fixed - I cannot pass emissions and cannot get my license plates.

Malibu LS 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 24,000 miles

I have repeatedly taken my vehicle to the dealerships where I usually buy all my cars (Chevrolet) due to the engine surging and dying at times, along with the engine light coming on. At first I was told it was the batteries the front and the auxiliary and they were not covered, under the warranty -so I paid approximately $600.00. The engine was temporarily fixed, but it came on again, this time due to a MODULE? $65.00 for the diagnosing and $45.00 for the part. Problem fixed? NO, the light came on again and this time after paying another $65.00 for diagnosing they said it was a valve part # GM P#12633613. It was ordered and paid for ($189.00) on September 2019 - I quit driving the car and the dealership finally found a part equivalent to this part, on May 2020 approximately 9 months later and was charged $89.00 to install. The light has come-on gain on and off and it is barely May 14, 2020. Is this a LEMON? Needless to say I will never purchase another vehicle from GM, but they still need to take responsibility for this piece of . I was notified that GM is sending 3,000 valve parts, but they have approximately 112,000 Malibu and Impala vehicle owners needing this part. This vehicle should be on recall, before someone crashes and dies.

In October 2017, I went to the dealership because my check engine light was on and reading code P0171. I was told that I needed to change my spark plugs, clean by throttle body, and service transmission. I had the work completed for over $400. It is now January 2018 and the check engine light is back on and reading the same code..... Bank to Lean Sensor 1 P0171

I am absolutely furious with Chevrolet! What is the deal here? It states on the website that the mechanics are certified. I purchased my car from this dealership and had all service and repairs done at this very location. I don't have the time, energy, or money to waste. Buying a Chevrolet was the worst mistake I ever made!

Seriously a engine light at 74000 miles and now yet another bill to a dealership to find out what the hell the code is for this is a real expensive cleveite, not a mid level sedan.
