Got gas today and the auto started sputtering and so on. Came home, went to go to the store and the car started smoking on passenger side under the hood. This auto reeks of burnt wires or something that was electrical that burnt. Shut car off, smoke rolled out from under the hood.

I just bought this car, went to plug in my cell phone to charge, and the accessory (under the radio) (cigarette lighter) was not working. l am also a DIYer, so, took the fuse out, and it was blown. There is a second accessory in the center console, it too was not working. So, l don't know what happened, but BOTH fuses were blown, went and bought one of them $20 assorted mini fuse kits, and now life is good. l want to know what made the fuses blow.

I have had no previous problems of any kind with this car. While I was driving, several warning messages about steering and brakes were displayed briefly. I parked and restarted the car about an hour later. The warning messages soon returned permanently, and all the instrument panel indications were also erratic. The car would not shift normally but it did not stop running, so I drove three miles to the Chevrolet dealer.

When they checked it the car would no longer start. They found error codes U0100, U0073, U0101, U0121, and they replaced the EBCM which they said was causing loss of communications. They also bled the brake system and checked for normal operation. It was reported to Chevrolet as TAC case 71-1412866518.
