I know that there is a product recall on the 2014 Chevy Malibu due to brake problems. I'm not sure I have the same issue as the recall. When I brake, sometimes the car "lurches" forward. I took it to the Chevy Dealer, he test drove it and agreed there was a problem. The mechanic said it was due to the AC unit...somehow it affects the ignition and causes the car to almost stall and then the ignition re-starts and the car then lurches forward.
The Chevy Dealer said the problem was not covered. I have written to GM, the Dealership Mgt. and to the Ohio Attorney General. I am waiting for responses.
