Female alone on a long dark interstate has a blow out that could have been bad if not for good defensive driving skills. Called insurance they sent roadside assitstance for a tire change, NO SPARE! So a wrecker had to be called out in the middle of the night, by the time they got there my battery was dead as well. A five hour drive ended up taking 12 due to a 5 hour layover on the side of the road because of NO SPARE TIRE. It was not mentioned when I bought the 2013 Malibu that it did not have one, so WHO KNEW until it was needed.
A Class Action suit is needed against GM/Chevrolet brilliant idea in saving 0.4miles /gallon by omitting spare tire which cost $500 plus...In the manual spare tire compact page 10-86...I am writing to Chevrolet about my complaint ...NO MORE as a customer
On July 3rd at 2am had a flat, no spare and the canister did not fix the flat. Was not going to wait forever talking on OnStar in the middle of nowhere. One tire store was open on the 4th and they would not touch the flat cause I used the fix-a-flat. Dealer should explain there is no spare and offer a spare tire package when purchasing the car. Have had 4 more flats all due to nails, random places, I think the tires are super low quality as well.
