The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact believed that the wiring under the driver's seat was faulty. The contact stated that the vehicle shut off in traffic, but was able to restart. The contact also noticed a burning odor earlier that day. Byrider cedar rapids (3837 1st ave SE, cedar rapids, ia 52402, (319) 866-7179) initially claimed to have repaired the wiring harness during a previous visit one week after the vehicle was purchased. The dealer later admitted that they did not repair the wiring harness. The contact owned the vehicle approximately one month. The manufacturer had not been contacted. The contact called camp Chevrolet Cadillac at 866-568-0669) and was quoted a total repair cost of $288. The failure mileage was 133,300.
