2010 Chevy Malibu LT, 4 Cylinder, rattling noise from steering column every time you go over a bump.
The noise has been going on since 50,000 miles or less. Took into dealer, said not covered under
power train warranty - crazy. To fix problem they have to replace with new steering column at $650+.
Should be covered by GM, this is definitely a mfg defect. The car only has 67,000 miles on it and it
has been well taken care of - you should never have replaced the steering column in this new of a car.
Haven't done the repair, should be on GM recall!
