Car would go into limp mode for no reason, when supposedly hot, but it was not getting got, in that the water temperature was still cool. It turned out to probably be the exhaust manifold temperature sensor. However, it only happens when air temperatures are above about 90 F, so we will not really know for sure until next summer.
