I have a 2010 Malibu that came with the 3.6L engine automatic transmission. In April 2014 my wife was driving this vehicle when she called me from the streets and explained that there was a flashing service light on, at the same time the vehicle lost all power. She restarted the engine and drove a short distance when the same problem redeveloped, once more she called me explaining that the same problem had redeveloped and what she should do, I knew that she was very close to the dealership so I instructed her to drive slow to the dealership. Once the vehicle had arrived, the Service Writer asked if we could leave the vehicle so he could have the complaint proper diagnosed. He later called me and informed me that they had found a malfunction valve part# 20812606. The cost of the valve was $331.18, which was no cost to me, however, I had to pay $84.36 of the $330.00 for labor, because I had purchased extended warranty when I purchased the vehicle.
On 07/30/14 my wife and I had gone for an appointment at the VA. When my visit with the doctor was completed, we then began our trip home when I approached the drive out ticket booth, and applied the service brakes, the service engine light came on, then later, the service traction " ESC" came on. So we proceeded to our home and once we arrived I then called the Dealer and spoke with a Service Writer, he instructed me to bring my vehicle in for him to look at it on Monday the 4th of August.
I purchased this vehicle in December 2010, at this time it has low mileage due to the fact that I am a senior and I have two other vehicles that my wife and I both share. I have had many nickel and dime problems with this vehicle ever since I have owned it. I am not saying that it is a bad automobile, when one lays out the amount of cash that I did for this one, I certainly would like for it to last much longer than one year!!!.
