OK, so I had to replace the water pump at 80,000 miles. I guess that's not too bad, but it was absolute hell to change it. You have to remove the thermostat and a whole bunch of water lines and you need a special tool to hold the timing chain in place when you remove the pump. You also have to squeeze your hands behind the engine to try and remove the pump bolts.
