The contact had to apply force in order to shift the vehicle into park. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two occasions. The technician was unable to duplicate or repair the failure. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The contact also stated that the power steering warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the ignition switch, the steering column, and the parking brake wire needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures.
