A major safety hazardous problem that GM refused to pay for the repair even there is a Recall issued.
I own a 2009 Malibu, with 110,000 Km, The brake lights came on by itself all the time.
Received a Recall from GM to fix same problem. Dealer followed the Recall repair instruction but failed to fix after several visits. Said I need a new body control module for $800 which is not paid for by the Recall.
I called GM who had said It is my problem, refused to pay for a new body control module.
I am really upset, don't know what to do? Cannot drive the car on the road due to safety hazard concerns ....I feel like crying......I need the car to work......
Third brake light works when it wants to. This has been going on for some time, maybe since my wife bought the car. I was watching her leave for work when I saw the brake lights come on at end of driveway but not the third brake light. I started checking this, sometimes the light works fine other times it does not work. I checked the computer for this problem, seems to be a common problem I've checked connections and so on with no results any help or advice would be appreciated thanks, John call me or message @530-218-2003
