Squeaking sound from the rear seat (I can’t figure out where exactly it is coming from), started at about 30k miles. I have tried vigorously to find out where it’s coming from with no luck; I was hoping it was just a piece of trim that had come loose that I could easily snap back in place – no such luck!
At approximately 40k miles there is a squeak somewhere within the passenger side seatbelt retractor. I have moved the seatbelt adjuster to all different heights, pushed on it, pulled on it and it has made no difference in the sound.
Update from Oct 29, 2011: At 25K miles I started hearing a VERY annoying squeaking sound from the sunroof, I took it to the dealer and was told that the tracks were dirty, they had cleaned them out and the sound was gone. I got the car back and the squeaking sound started about 50 miles later…still squeaking to this day (at about 40k miles). I have to push on the trim around the sunroof to get it to stop for a few miles, then it starts again.
Now I'm well aware what the story is with sunroofs - "they leak, they squeak, and aren't worth the peek" but c'mon squeaking after only 25k miles on a car that was bought new and taken very good care of!?!?!
