Loved my Impala, but not so much my Malibu. Back door locks work when they want to - dash trim broke (from the heat - right before my eyes) on both sides (about a month apart) where it mounts to dash with screw. Tranny isn't smart enough to gear down at yield signs, and I'm really disappointed with the lack of security I feel trying to pull onto the highway because there's no power in this little 4-cylinder. I work for a used car dealer and I've seen many of these come thru - with broken visors and cheap stereo face - flaking and peeling buttons.
I bought it for the looks, which seems short lived. And I wanted gas efficiency, but not for the cost of security and safety.
