I have a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu that has been in to the dealer 4 time for recalls and I just got the car March of this year 2014. First recall, brake light's coming on without stepping on brake, fixed some what. But the real pain in the but is the recall for the electric power steering that the first time in said it would be a hour to fix and I sat there from 9 am to 1 pm. First two sensors they put in didn't work, third one they said did.
Couple days later car pulling back and forth down the road, don't matter the speed. Stopped in to tell them still doing it. They drove it, called GM and put another one in. Still doing it, and I call GM and back to the dealer. Had my car for 5 days and side it pulling back and forth and switch front wheels around and checked air in tire and seems to be OK. Not still doing it and when it's really cold or cold and raining and you go and turn the wheel while backing up and it's hard to turn, somethings wrong. Called GM back and won't call you back. Took it to another dealer, said can feel it back and forth and steering a little hard to turn backing up even now, it's cold out but not that cold. Been going throw hell with this car, I could right a book. So now, after the holiday's, going to take it to this other dealer and hope they can fix it. Let you know how that turns out.
Update from Mar 16, 2015: An up date on my 2008 chevy malibu march 16 2015. Steering still not fixed and car is not good to drive and not getting any better. Been to just about every dealer and get a run around or you'll have to take it back were you had it work on the first time. But they wont call me back or make the problem right. Still paying on a car that i can't realy drive. It pissing me off that know one will help at all you just get run around. Have warrny on my car to fix what ever the problem is and know one want's to call the warrnty place. One place wanted to charge $95 dollars an hour just to look at hit that's nuts. The dearler i got it from won't call back so i tryed other ways of getting it fixed nothing. This car is unsafe and not wearth what i'm paying for it and on top of all this the car wont start is it was 7 blow to - teens. what up with that. most of this winter been sitting home and getting rids to place. Shunt have to having a car. So here my update and if anything chages i'll let you know
