The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu. While the cruise control was set to 60 mph, the vehicle began to accelerate without the accelerator pedal being depressed. The contact also stated that the brake lights became inoperable intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000. Updated 06/14/16 the consumer stated the brake light stayed on continuously, and the battery light illuminated but the battery was found to be good. Updated 06/22/16.
