When I took car in for brake lights not working they replaced the brake sensor and then it wouldn't shift right. It stuck in park. Had to restart car three times and push pedal in so hard I thought the pedal would brake. Chevrolet mechanics screwed it all up. Totally incompetent. I believe when they did the tranny recall cable they made it worse. If your car isn't having shift problems, don't do the recall it makes it happen and they will charge you to rectify the problem. Have been a Chevy fan entire life, will buy a foreign car now, at least they stand behind what they sell!!!
Update from Aug 8, 2015: After calling Chevy recall center they called dealership and they re-calibrated brake switch, now taillights, cruise control and shifter are working. Will update when they go out again. I know it won't last.
