A bolt fell out of the left front fender. The front right turn signal does not work as the holder does not make electrical contact with the bulb.a dangerous situation. The remote keys no longer work. The electrical seat control does not operate properly. This car has so many problems that I will never buy another GM product.

For awhile now my power steering indicator has been going off and a few months ago it had become an issue when I veered off the road on a U-turn. I brought it to my local Chevrolet dealership and they told me nothing was wrong with my car and that id be fine. Few weeks ago I had another incident to where I was backing into a spot and couldn't turn my wheel and almost hit the car behind me. The chime goes off 2-3 times a week and have trouble starting my car sometimes ad well. Being concerned I had done some research and found out that there is a recall on my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. I immediately called GM and they took info from me and left message for Chevy to call me. Chevy never called me back so I called and they began to tell me the parts are not available to remedy the problem and the car is on a waiting list. I immediately began to do more research and came up empty. I don't understand how GM can leave me in this situation. I don't know if because my car is almost at the 10 year mark and than GM is not liable, or there is a loop hole in some way they can drag their feet. Is there anything I can do, or anything being done about this?!

Fyi (the incident date is when I had my car fixed at a work shop) I replaced my fuel pump, left axle and transmission.(total $2484.92) I have a recall for my fuel pump (NHTSA campaign number: 11E009000 ) but GM won't replace it due to it not being built in a certain location. My electrical system has a recall (NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 ) my key ignition has a recall although the Chevrolet dealer has not received parts to replace this defect. My transmission also has a defect ( the transmission has a click on 2nd and 3rd gears and GM is not fixing these problems and continue to make these defected transmissions) my transmission repair shop replace these clicks and charged me $1750 and gave me a warranty. My electrical has a defect, I keep changing my fuses because of my electrical system( NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 ). GM is neglecting to fix my car. I will never purchase another Chevrolet again.

Over a course of three years, I've continuously had problems with my taillights going out, cruise control malfunctioning, etc. I've had several near miss accidents because of this issue. My brake lights randomly go on and go off while my car is in motion and when braking the brake lights fail to "light up". I have had several mechanics give me different diagnosis' and have spent a few hundred dollars to remedy this and every thing has failed. I recently did some research and came across this which is exactly what is wrong with my vehicle. www-ODI.NHTSA.dot.gov/owners/searchresults my car was also given a diagnosis of what might be wrong with my vehicle and the mechanic at Chevrolet specifically mentioned that after I spend $700 to get this fixed, this might not remedy the problem. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

While traveling home I was pulled over by a state trooper. I was told I was not using my signal lights and my brake lights were not working. For the past few weeks my ABS light has been coming on but I just had brakes put on my car. When I drive in the rain my brake petal goes almost to the floor before I can stop and my car makes strange scrubbing noises from time to time. As advised I had my lights checked by a professional and it was found my lights seemed to be burned/melted at the bottom where the bulbs connect to the base. I have replaced them several times and do not understand why they have to be replaced so often. Due to these issues I am afraid to drive in the rain and constantly check my brake and signal lights.

This relates to recall campaign 14V153000. In 2009, I first began having power steering failures when accelerating from stopped. I would feel the steering wheel jerk to the path of least resistance (straighten) if I was in a turn, and would hear three chimes (ding-ding-ding). If I released the gas pedal, the power steering would resume operations, but if I maintained pedal activation, power steering would remain off and an alert would illuminate on the dashboard indicating power steering failure. The problem occurred with increased frequency on hot days, especially when air conditioning was operating on high (leading me to believe that it was a loss of power to the steering column, induced by a problem with the way that the electrical system was set up--giving higher priority to A/C fans than to the power steering). In October 2009, the vehicle was repaired under special bulletin 10183. However, in April 2014, I began having this problem again. On every day where the temperature was above 75 degrees, I've had this issue. I called GM and they stated that my VIN is not among those affected, though I drive a 2005 Chevy Malibu and I clearly have had the same problem that other vehicles using the same parts. The dealer refuses to look at it unless I have a recall letter. NHTSA should look into how many customers have been notified out of this my, especially since there is nothing in the language (or logic) of this recall that should exclude my vehicle.

The warning chime will sound, then I sometimes get a warning note across the dashboard stating "power steering" & then for a brief moment I will have trouble turning the steering wheel; one time when this happened all the warning lights flashed across the dashboard and I lost power for a second & then everything went back to normal until several miles later when the chiming came on again; I paid the Chevy dealer to replace the power steering in the summer of 2012 but the problem recurred almost immediately afterward. I am now afraid to drive the car. I don't want any refund, I just want the car to operate reliably & safely.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated when attempting to park, the engine stalled as the anti-theft warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where the pass lock sensor and the ignition switch were replaced. The dealer was notified of the problem and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The vehicle had been repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 59,000.

The brakes lights on my vehicle come on without pressure applied to the brakes resulting in the cruise control to kick off. The brake lights will go off once the brakes are pressed. This presents an unsafe situation as it is never known when it will happen. This resulted in my vehicle being rear ended while at a stop sign coming off the off ramp from the highway. I have had to have this issue fixed several times and it keeps reoccurring. The power steering goes completely out on the vehicle while driving at random times. I have had to have this fixed at least two times. I know that there have been recalls on both issues for my make, model and year however I keep getting told that my vehicle is not on the list.

I had sent an email regarding the recalls I had heard about. Someone from your company called and also contacted nick Chevrolet. When I was talking to the service tech ([xxx]) he made an appointment for me to drop my car off so that they could look at all of the issues I was having. When I got to the dealership on Saturday May 17th I spoke with louis and explained what was going on and what [xxx] told me to do. [xxx] then proceeded to tell me "he didn't care what I was told, he was the service manager" at that point he proceed to tell me that the only recall for my car was some wire and that they didn't have the part and didn't know when it would be in. So he didn't listen and anything I had to say about my email to you or my conversation with [xxx]. I am extremely disappointed with GM and this dealership and would not recommend either to my worst enemy, hence my last email. If anything happens to me or my vehicle because of GM and/or [xxx] from nick Chevrolet both will be held accountable! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Vehicles brake lights stick on while driving. Sometimes they flash when going aprox 65 and up. It appears the brake lights also flash when car is changing gears. The car once would not shift into drive while reversing and lost all power steering. Also the brakes or something at front of car shakes rapidly when accelerating and even worse when going down hills.

I started my car and my empty light started blinking and dinging saying that my car had no fuel despite that I had put in $30 the day before, but when I looked at my miles to empty option on my radio it said 331 miles to empty. I decided once I got to work I'd try restarting it to see if that worked, well while I was driving down the street I realized none of my gauges were working I was going at least 35-40 and my car was reading 0 rpms and 0 mph which made me panic thinking well if my car is reading that im not driving and that I have no gas what if it just shuts off on me? so I pulled over afraid that it could cause my car to shut off it took five times of me starting the car and turning it back off for it to work. The only gauge that was doing anything during this time was the hot cold sensor for my coolant which would go the middle and then immediately fall back to cold. This is the first time this has happened and it makes me feel extremely upset and afraid to drive my own car! since it has stopped doing this I don't know what taking it into a shop will do since they can't diagnose a problem if it isn't occurring at the time.
