About every six months I have to replace the front turn signal lamp because it burns out. The light actually gets so hot that the base of the lamp melts. The last time I replaced the lamp I noticed that the little yellow globe around the lamp in the housing has also melted at the top. This is happening on both sides.
2004 malibu turn signals don't work. I cannot count how many issues we've had since we bought it in june of 2006. This has to be the most annoying issue with this car. I finally adjusted the plugins on the units to hold onto the bulbs tighter and this seems to have worked. I have replaced at least 2 a month before my trial and error repair and this has worked for about five months now.
OK SO DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IN ORDER TO FIX THE TURN SIGNAL I WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE THE WHOLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY SO THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME ABOUT 200.00. WELL I LOOKED ONLINE AND BOUGHT THE ASSEMBLY ONLINE AND CHANGED IT MYSELF WHICH WAS REALLY SIMPLE JUST DISCONNECT AND CONNECT NEW ONE FOR ONLY 60.00. I DID IT MYSELF AND ALSO WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH MY KEY FOB WASN'T WORKING NO MORE AND GUESS WHAT WHEN I REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES THE DARN THING WORKS NOW AND THE DEALERSHIP WAS TELLING ALSO ON THAT KEY FOB THAT IT WAS THE BODY CONTROL MODULE WHICH WAS A BUNCH OF CRAP BECAUSE NOW IT WORKS.
