My driver side rear signal light works when it wants to. I took it in to my local garage and after running diagnostics I was informed the circuit board had went bad. The garage ordered the part and called me when it came it. I took my car back to the garage and while they were in the process of changing the circuit board they discovered that something was causing the circuit board to burn and put the old one back on the keep the new one from burning. The mechanic told me he was going to have to call the dealer to see what was going on since he'd never came across this problem before. He called me two days later and said the dealer said it was the flasher and he'd order the part. I had to wait a week for the part to come in. I had to drop my car off at 9 in the morning because they weren't sure how long it was going to take to replace the flasher and the circuit board. About 5 they called and told me to come and get my car. When I got there the mechanic told me this car had officially kicked his ass. He spent all day trying to fix my car and never did. He said the flasher was not the problem, not the wiring, he checked the fuses, and other stuff, and it was not the problem. The other mechanics at the garage had took a crack at it and couldn't figure it out. The mechanic told me I was going to have to take it to the dealer and it was most likely computer related and was going to cost a lot to fix. The mechanic didn't charge me anything since he couldn't fix my car.
This car is a pain in the ass. If the mechanic could fix my problem it was gonna cost $300 so I can just imagine what it's gonna cost at the dealership.
