bought this 2001 Malibu brand new--always drove easy and always serviced on time--the head gasket blew at 86000 miles the first time--mechanic said the antifreeze that came in the car caused the problem. he had the heads serviced and replaced head gasket--they blew again at 130000 miles--although the car is in good shape except the engine it isn't worth the repair bill again--the engine has never used oil and runs smoothly--the car i had before this one i bought brand new--it was a pontiac grand am--another gmc product--it threw a rod cracking the block in it with eighty thousand miles-had to replace the engine in that one-always serviced and not run hard--well i bought another new car yesterday--it sure want a gm product--hope to have better luck with this one----gm knows about this head problem with the head gasket--untold numbers of people have the same problem with it---as for me i will never buy another gm product again--don't make the same mistake--at least other car manufactors own up to their problems--gm sucks as far as I'm concerned
