This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The right headlamp had moisture in it, dealer replaced the right headlamp assembly. The security system came on 3 time, dealer could not duplicate the problem, dealer replaced the passlock sensor, due to the theft system light illuminating.
Brakes failed for the 2nd time accident occurred have not had car for 3 weeks, have been waiting for GM to send inspector. Car is out of service for more than 15 days and GM has exhausted the time limit for action. I do not want this "death trap" (car) back. I also want to be credited for lease payments. I should not have to pay for manufacturer defects.
Engine kept knocking and the first dealer said they didn't have time to look at it, they put a new engine in but still having problems, the brakes have been replaced (rotors and pads) 2 times and still are not right, the car would not go from park to reverse on 2 occasions, I have had lights not working, door latches broken.
