Consumer is experiencing continual problems with the brakes and rotors warping on this vehicle. Consumers first inclination that there was a problem with the brakes is when she brought the vehicle in because of a grinding noise. Consumer nearly lost control of vehicle because of a sudden need to brake, the vehicle went out of control as the rotors were shaking the steering column so bad the vehicle went into a skid, also the ABS light would illuminate on vehicle.
Intermittenly when applying brakes, vehicle will not stop, consumer has to apply harder and pump brakes. Contacted dealer and had brakes repaired but problem still exists. Consumer stated that the dealer replaced master cylinder and pad as a possible solution to the problem.
Contacted manufacturere and local dealer. No assistance offered on brake failure or intake gasket failure in which they told me is due the the normal heat of the engine causing it to fail.
6 months after purchase and presently, left front brakes cause vehicle to shake, consumer states vehicle is hard to control on ice and snow at high speeds, consumer also hears a low hum coming from front of vehicle, sound could be brake related or a suspension problem.
When depressing brakes noticed vehicle shaking. Dealer stated rotors needed to be replaced. Front rotors and pads were warped and scored. ABS light illuminated.
Consumer was traveling in traffic and a truck in front suddenly stopped. Rear ended truck because brakes were not grabbing or holding. Surface of brakes was warped and pulsated. Vehicle sustained $8500 worth of damage. Brakes were defective from maufacturer.
