Okay so I paid $3000 for a used Chevy Malibu 4 years ago it had 119k miles on it when I bought the thing. Since then I have put on 2 alternators, a starter, water pump, 2 idler pullies (thats the squeaking noise that you hear at the serpentine belt if its squeaking change them!!!), the tensioner pulley, serpentine belt, thermostat, intake manifold, windshield wiper transmission(I don't live in one of the states ont he recall which is BS since they recalled them for ice and snow and I live in Kansas we get ice and snow here), head gaskets, heater core, 4 sets of brakes, 4 sets of tires, rear passenger strut, ABS light on, Windshield wiper fluid tank, 300 passenger side tail lights, 4 boxes of fuses for the cigarette lighter, another 3 boxes for the cruise control fuse, the idler fan fuses, oh and that stupid anti theft device when the car gets low on gas and decides putting gas in the car is a sign your stealing it and you gotta wait 15 minutes(by the way I know it can hurt your fuel pump but if you pump the accelerator while turning the car over when its doing that it will force the engine to start), heater blower motor, fan switch positions 1 and 2 wouldn't work, new trunk release mechanism(won't open with Key thank god the button on the keyless entry still worked). New keyless entry for the locks(the trunk button was the only one working). Passenger side window switch. Ok I think I got them all. I have put less than 100K on the car its got 205k on it now. Never have I had this many problems with a car before, however with all this sh*t the car always runs like a champ even when overheating. I have also owned a Chevy S-10 and same kinds of stuff..but again a V6 dropping 2 cylinders and running well. Thats why Fords are Found on road dead cause even broke down and pathetic a Chevy will get you there. LOL
