I own a 1999 Chevy Lumina LZT. On three different times this car's engine has revved up while driving and no amount of stepping on brakes/throwing into neutral while stop it. I have been driving at 55 mph and the car with no warning with speed up to 70-85 mph. I have nearly rear-ended cars and it is very scary. It almost sounds like the problem that the Toyota cars have having.. Has anyone else had this problem? And does anyone have any suggestions? The only way I can stop the revving is to kill the engine.
