Consumer states that the intake manifold gasket is made of plastic. When this happens all of the radiator fuel is washed into the block causing major damage to the block. Dealer contacted.
Intake manifold is leaking oil onto engine. Cause unknown. Dealer notified. The engine had a hole where the distributor used to be and the hole was capped with O? ring and a plug. The hardening of the O'ring was due to heat causeing the oil to leak.
Intake manifold gaskey blew out... dealer told me that they have had alot of the 3.1 engines doing this" ran me almost $800 to get it fixed at dealer.wanted to see if you had any other complaints"
Vehicle would experience engine leaking. Owner noticed the leakage on garage floor. The problem occurred after routine maintenance on vehicle. The head gaskets/servo cover/ "O" rings, intake manifold/engine valves & pan gasket were changed. The transmission was also leaking. The dealer did all repairs.
