This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The rear brake lights at the tail light section work only occasionally. They will sometimes work after quickly flipping on both directionals. The brake light in the rear window always functions properly. Fuses and bulbs are not the problem. Since this problem was noticed by me I have observed other Luminas which appear to have the same problem. I would appreciate your looking into this as my mechanic tells me this can be a tricky and expensive problem to diagnose let alone repair. Also, is there any way of finding out if I should have been notified of the ball joint problem which was listed at the top of the recall form on your page ? my vehicle was manufactured in that time frame. Thank you.
Had turned on air conditioner, it got real cold. It started to make a lot of noise. Turned it off. Took ti dealer & was informed the bearings had came apart. The compressor had died & needed replacing.
The vehicle was experiencing loss of A/C. the vacuum tank and liner was missing from the vehicle causing loss of A/C.the owner feels that vibration or looseness of the liner caused the fall out of the liner and A/C vacuum bottle.
