car quit going down road, replaced fuel reg. does not throw a code for anything. if you unplug fuse for fuel pump, it will start for a sec. fuel pump does work, car floods self out trying to start. Please HELP

This problem is very aggravating! If anyone has any ideas of what may be wrong, I would really appreciate hearing them. We just put this car in the shop the week before, to replace a neutral safety switch ($381) and 6 days later it won't even start!!!
