This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Re: car randomly lunges forward while slowing to a stop. This does not occur every time I come to a stop. It is an unexpected event that happens from time to time while slowing for a stop sign, stop light or just to stop period that this car seems to lunge forward like I'm accelerating which I do then the gears adjust down but only when applying more pressure on breaking. There have been a few times since I have had this car where I almost ran into the back of the car in front of me due to this.
