The 2014 Impala has an Integrated wheel assembly. The rear brakes were replaced and the rotor removed and resurfaced. Within a week the right rear wheel started humming while driving. The diagnosis was a failed bearing. I'm stating the bearing failed due to the removal of the rotor from the bearing assemble. I am reading that when the rotor is removed from an integrated hub assembly that these assemblies have very tight tolerances and there is a good chance that the bearing will fail when the rotor is reinstalled. Translation is now I am now having to pay for a bearing replacement due to having a brake job done. GM has no data on how successful that a rotor can be reinstalled to tight tolerances and positioning so as not to cause the bearing failure.
