We I purchased the car they had changed the wheel bearings and since then I have had to take it back and have it serviced for the same thing several times. I changed out the hub assembly for the same problem and now just like before the traction control light is on and the ABS light. I don't know what else to do. I turned into our local walmart and the car just stopped and would not go.
The blindspot detection system module failed and it messed up all my electrical systems in the car thw speedometer RPM and fuel and temperature gauges bottomed out to 0. all the lights came on. The vehicle was in motion doing 79 mph on the interstate. On star thought I was in an accident.
Car started smoking from the bumper area and electrical system going nuts. Car was sluggish and acting weird. All gauges and instrument panel going off and on. Door locks locking and unlocking. Cruise enable then disable. Infotainment system screen glitching out. Took to dealership they said the side detection module and wiring harness is bad where it got wet. The location leaves it exposed to water from the roadway and can cause fire hazard. Very dangerous and scary driving down the road and all this happens on the highway
This has now occurred on two separate occasions. When my car is in motion, the stabilitrack lights flicker on and my car begins to lose power. I cannot drive over 35 miles per hour tops, incredibly dangerous on the freeways in southern California!
Every warning light on the dashboard became illuminated. Lost power steering, car became sluggish, lacked speed, and power. Braking control was limited. Vehicle was drive able only in limp mode.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the stabilitrak was faulty and the vehicle would only shift into drive. Also, the radio and heat failed to operate properly. When the vehicle was restarted, it reset itself; however, the stabilitrak indicator would not illuminate. All the other warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 52,000.
Side traffic detection system is inoperative. Car has been at the dealership for 15 days as of this writing. We are being told the control modules to repair the defect is not available. We are elderly and cannot be without the use of a car.
While driving, several functions in the car will turn off. Functions include heating/ cooling system, lights (dashboard lights), doors lock/ unlock and collision systems turns off. I've researched online and found several other customers have had the same issues ranging back to 2018. I've taking my car to a GM dealership and found that the sensor malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. I also found the sensor is on back order, which makes me believe this is a larger issue than I thought and some one needs to investigate further. Driving along the highway and several security features start to turn off is dangerous.
While driving down the road the message center popped up the service power assist steering, and the ABS and stabilitrak were also deactivated. This all happened while driving down the highway at 55mph in a straight line.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. While driving 55 mph, the door locks kept locking and unlocking, the headlights went out, while driving, but the motor kept running. My wife made it home. The (for about 13 to 15 seconds) next morning she took it to work, on the way it stalled and would not start. Consumer replaced the battery and still it would not start. But the vehicle would not start, an independent mechanic diagnosed that the blind side sensor was corroded and informed the contact to unplug the wiring harness from the blind side sensor. After unplugging the wiring harness, the vehicle was operable. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000. Consumer stated GM has a bulletin out about corrosion in blind side sensor connection.
I have filed a complaint last month about my 2014 Chevy Impala's side detection system, back up camera warnings, and forward collision systems all not working. Today I am adding that while driving on the freeway in moderate rain doing 55mph, my stabilitrak light came on, ABS light came on and I lost power steering. I did not lose control of my car, but it could have been bad. I called Chevy as soon as I got home to file a complaint. I will be bringing it to the dealership tomorrow as I have read other complaints of this happening as well with the next thing to go is the car won't start. This situation is uncalled for in a vehicle with 45,000 miles at a price tag of $35,000, especially when the other issues started happening around D 38,000 miles. Before today, when I started my car the service lights for front camera, park assist, and side detection all lit up. I did not take it to the dealership at that point because I heard it was expensive to fix now I have to as the safety of driving it is severely unstable.
It has a few different problems. The first being a trunk seal that was already recalled, yet my “fixed” seal wasn’T even fixed and my trunk is still taking on water when it rains. The other problem started a week ago. My ABS light came on while driving and the traction control light and neither will go off. Today while driving my car felt like it was losing power all of a sudden and a dinger went off and the brake assist light came on as well as 2 parking break lights. Both times the lights come on I was driving. None of the lights will go off, and now it’'s dinging for a minute or more just because of the warning light.
While in motion around 30mph, felt a vibration followed by 2 messages on the info center. Service stabilitrack, service power steering drive with care. The ABS light and the stabilitrack lights are illuminated on the dash as well as no longer having power steering.
When making turns, left turns especially, the car hesitates and makes a grinding noise. It feels like it loses power, and will not move, which is very scary and dangerous in the middle of rush hour traffic in a busy city. Sometimes the stabilyzer and/or traction control lights come one during these episodes. This is the 3rd time I have had to have my car serviced for the exact same problem. I am a single divorced [xxx] woman, I do not have the time away from work or the money to continue to spend on repairs that I have no choice or control over. Please recall this problem. I have read hundreds of complaints about the same thing online when I researched my problem. Recall !!! or do we have to get killed before you the manufacturer does that? parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
While driving around 7:30am on Nov 2nd, the vehicle power steering and ABS stopped working and warning lights began to go off. I was traveling at 70mph on a wet highway. Steering became very difficult. I got off at the very next exit.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. While making a left turn at a low speed, a grinding sound was heard coming from the engine compartment. In addition, the brake assist, traction control, stability control, and ABS warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000.
While I was driving 60mph on an interstate my car notification screen displayed "service stabilitrak"/ "engine power reduced"... then my car acceleration seemed to have died and car slowed all the way down to around 20 mph with the gas pedal diwn to the floor... a big semi truck was behind me and had to break and swerve around me while blowing his horn...I was nearly killed.
Having problems with my car when I do a turn in sterring wheel it makes a craking sound I hve changed brakes and other part in order to fix but did not solve the problem, also I braked hard once and the brakes locked and stayed that way I had to get vehicle towed because of this issue and this happen before new brakes, also when I turn all the light turn os as for brakes turning and other things.
Upon starting the car warning message appeared on the dash stating power steering drive with caution. The car seemed to almost stall after that. The vechicle was stationary at the time. It immediately became hard to steer. After 20 mins I was ablw to turnthe car off and restart it and drive.
Service stability track came on four times since I have owned the car. The last time I was enroute to my home from a medical appointment in minneapolis, mn. This time the car was losing power. I managed to get the car to a Chevy dealer, two hours from my home, to have three service codes shut off, one of which was service stability track.
