The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala equipped with Goodyear Eagle ls-2 tires, size: P225/55R17. The contact stated that the tire warning light illuminated because the front passenger side tire developed a slow leak. Several days later, while pulling out of the driveway at 10 mph, the contact noticed that the vehicle drove abnormally. The contact pulled over and noticed that the front passenger tire thread separated. The manufacturer was not notified. The tire was replaced. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 36,000. The VIN was not available.

Cords in there of the four tires on our 2013 Chevrolet Impala ruptured, causing bulging on the inside margin of the tire faces. The bulging caused the steering wheel and entire car to shake at all speeds. The tires had to be replaced long before the end of the tread life. The tires, which were original equipment on the car, were Goodyear Eagle LS2, size P225/55R17, dot# M643 bhdr 2312. Continue use would have resulted in damage to suspension and drive line components and possible catastrophic tire failure.

Eagle LS2 tires have had the sidewall fail and blow off. While driving at 70mph highway speed. Nearly causing a major accident(s). Apparently this is much more common then it should be after reading online about these tires. And commonly on Impala vehicles for many years, nearly a decade.

I work in a tire shop and in the past two weeks I have had two 2013 Impala lt's come in with partially separated tires. Both were Goodyear Eagle LS2's, same size, and same dot number. Separation was identical on both vehicles.customers reported that their tire had a slow leak in both cases. Upon checking the tire I noticed both tires had uneven wear and were separated on the shoulder. Tires were both replaced as a result of the partial separation.

At just over 40000 miles on the 2013 Chevy Impala, the left rear tire developed a leak. Took car to a tire shop and they discovered belts were coming apart on the inside of the tire, upon further investigation the right rear tire also had evidence of cord separation (soft spongy spot in tread). Tires were Goodyear brand that were original equipment to the Impala & still had approximately 20% of usable tread left. All four tires were replaced at a cost of $643.

My front left tire, which is a Goodyear Eagle P225/55R17/sl gdy B01 ls-2 95T0, blew out in three places on the outside of the thread. The incident could have been much worse. I bought my 2013 Chevy Impala last October. I had my tires rotated last at jimmy gray Chevrolet in southaven, ms 38671. I have only 37,000 miles on the car. I feel Goodyear owes me a new tire, because of what happened. If they would pay me $140. I will be happy. I will save the tire for evidence, if they wish.

I purchased a 2013 Impala in November with 19,000 miles on it. I noticed a bang in the front end when backing out of driveway cutting to the right or left. The drivers tire is wearing uneven because the alignment is off "but only slightly and within specs". steering wheel shakes at 45-50 mph without pulling. Go over a bump and feel a vibration in the floor under my feet! it has been in several times and they have done the following: 1. tighten motor mount 2. had it half a day to replace a broken motor mount (same one they tightened two weeks earlier) 3. had it all day to "listen for the noise", heard it and ordered a strut spacer 4. had it half a day to replace strut spacer, did not stop the noise they have heard the noise 3 times and made several attempts to correct but was not successful. I suggested the rack and pinion but was told GM will not pay them to explore my front end. Shop says without hearing the noise all the time we will have to wait for a "catastrophic event to occur".
