The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. While the contact's vehicle was making a left turn, an abnormal grinding sound was heard and the vehicle hesitated. In addition, the ABS and service stabilitrak warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the front driver side wheel bearing hub was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the independent mechanic and the hub was replaced again; however, the failure persisted. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 49,000. The VIN was not provided.
2013 Chevrolet Impala. Consumer writes in regards to front end noise while traveling at a low speed. The consumer stated that the wheel bearing was replaced, but the failure continued.
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. While driving approximately 5 mph, the service traction control, service brakes, ABS, and stability warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the brakes made a grinding noise when the brake pedal was depressed. The failures occurred several times. The dealer stated that the front driver side wheel sensor wire harness and the front passenger side wheel bearing needed to be replaced. The passenger side wheel bearing was replaced. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 44,000.
