There are sensors tied into the seats that makes the car aware someone is occupying the seat, thus turning on airbag. This is specifically to my passenger seat which now I do not feel comfortable letting anyone sit in for this reason. The air bag will not turn on for a 95lb person to a 300lb man sitting in it. So if there is ever an accident that air bag will never deploy, which may cause a fatality.
So why isn't this covered by any warranty or recalled by the manufacture, how many people have to die before one will take responsibility? They act as if this is not a serious matter when that air bag is suppose to be there to save a life, GM does not have this recalled, even though I have seen numerous people with this same issue. Received a quote from dealership at $355.00, which I do not feel I should have to pay for anything that is a safety hazard and was not caused by the owner, should be covered.
This is my first Chevy ever and so far I have a bitter taste in my mouth.
