I had to have an actuator replaced on my 2010 Chevrolet Impala. When I called other mechanic shop (including GM), was uninformed that this is a common issue with Impala. I also had several coworkers with Impala have the same issue. Considering this issue is so common in these vehicles, there should be a recall.

The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that she believed that the accelerator pedal and brake pedal were too close together and she depressed them both at the same time. Also, when driving down a small incline to enter a small street, the front under carriage of the vehicle scrapped the street. The platform for the foot rest on the driver; side for the left foot caused the consumer to experience foot cramps as her ankle was in a flex position as there was not enough space.
