The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The contact also stated that the key was able to turn in the ignition but failed to release. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received NHTSA campaign number: 14V355000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.
My key keep getting stuck in the ignition. After a couple of tries of wiggling it out, it came out. But when I'd gone home for then end of the day my key wouldn't come out at all ! I had to leave my key partially started because the key wouldn't come out. So my bad dies, alarm not working and not to mention I was 4mths pregnant and I kept driving around as I spoke with a GM rep and onstar rep hoping eventually the key will come out but it didn't.
I have a 2008 Chevy Impala and my car just cuts off while im driving and the key gets locked in the ignition and the dealership said it was the aftermarket stereo so I took it out it has happened 4 times since I have spent close to $700 to fix this problem and no results what if my car would have went out on me on the freeway or something because it went out last night when I was driving in the middle of turned the whole car just locked the steering wheel and turned off.
