When my car gets up to between 40 and 50 miles per hour on the highway my transmission slips at times. It does not do this all the time. Usually when the transmission slips it will do it several times while I am out and about. I took it to my local Chevrolet dealer. They say that my car has codes indicating driveability issues. The car never had this problem prior to it getting close to the end of its warranty. I wish that I knew what is exactly wrong with my car. I have never experienced the problems with any Chevy Impala I have ever owned before. I do not know if the problems are computer related, or actually mechanical in nature. This is very disturbing. I would like to know if this is the sort of defect that can be resolved before my warranty goes out.
This event acts as though the transmission is slipping, when it hesitates. Usually this is from a stop, but has happened between gears as well. It seems to happen more during warmer seasons, but first began in January.
Bought the car used from diver told them the same week I bought the car the transmission was slipping. They kept telling me nothing was wrong finally I got them to look at it after a long period of time went by. They said it was the transmission. They fixed it now it's 2015 and it's doing it again. Now they are telling me there is nothing they can do for me cause its not under warranty. But yet it's the same problem. I feel they did a quick fix instead of giving me a new transmission.
Every now and then (it seems to happen when it is humid), when I apply the gas, the engine revs up but the car doesn't go anywhere so I take me foot off the gas pedal and reapply lightly. Then suddenly, it will jerk forward and move. I will be getting this looked into and will post an update...

I have a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, bought it with 7000,00 miles on it.
The trans started slipping at about 30,000 miles and has continued to slip everyday.
I have brought it into the dealership 10 times, they keep saying nothing is wrong.
I am looking at blogs of other people having the exact same problem, and GM is saying nothing is wrong.
Another thing is the calipers are bad, and I brought it in any they said nothing is wrong. I am fed up with them.
