Filed previous complaint, #10202892. This was in reference to my seat belt retractor not locking on my 2006 Impala. The new retractor the dealer put in my vehicle, also does not lock. I have already hit the steering wheel once, do I have to be seriously injured. Called Chevy again and they stated they were sorry for the inconvenience. They stated to take it back to the dealer and have yet another one put in.

Own 2006 Chevy Impala, noticed since began lease with vehicle that seatbelt doesn't always lock. Driving on 9/12/07, had to slam on the brakes to avoid a vehicle running a red light, I flew forward into the steering wheel because the seat belt was not tight and locked. Took vehicle to dealer the next day and they acknowledged the issue and replaced the seat belt parts. Updated 09/17/07.
