My tie rods fell off while I was driving, ripped apart under the hood and caused me to have to fix a hundred freaking things! This car is horrible! GM NEED TO RECALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every problem that I have with my car, my mechanic predicts because he's seen it in all the other impalas.

left rear hub was 3 days out of warranty. Service tech. told me they wont fix. they wanted 430.00. I went to Napa the same brand new hub was $117.00. It took all of 20 minutes to replace. easy straight forward replacement. take off tire, loosen hub bolts. put back in reverse order. Chevy is back to raping its loyal customers.

I spent $50 as my deductible and $67.81 on a rental car. My warranty covered the rest which was $100 towards my rental and $350 on the wheel/hub bearing....

I have replaced the front passenger side hub and tie-rod end on my Impala. Luckily the problem was covered under warranty. One problem occurred at less than 30,000 miles and was covered under manufacturer's warranty. The replaced hub fell into extended warranty because it happened around 45,000 miles. Please keep in mind, I have had so many problems with this car that the mileage and dates listed are estimates only.
