In 4 years I had to replace all 4 bearings and put a front tie rod on this car. My mechanic said he's never done this with one vehicle. GM refuses to acknowledge that this is a known problem. I've spent around $1,500 on these repairs. My sister had a 2003 Impala 3.4 l engine and it was the same thing. She had the car 3 years and put numerous tie rods on it and 2 bearings. There is no way this is normal but when my mechanic called them when my vehicle was less than 2 years old they refused to acknowledge any known defects. BULLL...I've since replaced all 3 remaining bearings and the tie rod. Now I'm having to replace the gauge bundle and that can only be done through a GM Dealor at their cost. I love the comfort and gas mileage on this car but will NEVER buy another Impala and probably not another GM vehicle.
