In 2005 chevy offered a piece of s... warranty. We bought this car BRAND NEW loaded w/leather for my wife. The leather started deteriorating at about 8,000 miles (car eight months old). The leather started peeling off the backing. We took it to the dealer and service department at Paradise Chevrolet in Temecula,ca. said it was the way my wife was getting into the car with her jeans, & the warranty does not cover abusive wear. It was all I could do to hold my tongue. we got a quote from a local recommended upholstery shop. They quoted me $650.00 for both front seats. He said he sees a lot of chevys with this material they used. He wanted to upgrade the leather. It would have a slight color difference. Bulls... is what GM is now peddling. I have always been a chevy man. My bought the same year a chevy avalanche. the tranny has been replaced twice and going out again, He has 108,000 miles on it. also the stereo replaced twice, gauge cluster, shock premature failure, broken welds at rear shock. His warranty was expired. The tranny cost $2,400 at AMMCO like I said they did a crappy job also. The3 gauge cluster,$850.00. stereo discounted at $ 350.00. All trucks, cads, and other chevys in twice a week with same problems. No recalls by GM. I am buying out of the chevy line after owning nothing but chevys for 40 years. Bye GM, you suck. I know several ford and dodge owners having like problems, just need a change. I have owned 1965 van (burned up-fuel prob), 71 stepside truck(went to all mechanical gauges, new motor, trans, etc. Vega-bad everything, 95 s-10 blazer-(omg) engine, trans, differential, transfer case, stereo, air conditioning(six times & sold with no air, gauges, electric window switched, a-arms, sold the car with 98,000 miles, much, much, much, more. 1995 utility truck-gauges,air,windshield wiper/cruise/blinker lever, gas tank, fuel pump three times. still have truck. cant sell it. Not enough there to justify parting out. no body wants utility truck or bed. Any way I have owned 14 chevys, getting worst year by year.
