ISS Clunking Noise Fix - The main issue with a faulty ISS is this: You will notice popping/clunking coming from your front end when turning. Especially when turning at low speeds. You can feel the popping and clunking through the steering wheel, almost like there are some small rocks in the steering column. If you feel something like this, you need to lube/replace your ISS.
The first time the noise happened they replaced a steering rod. Now they are saying it's the steering gear with a price of $1200. I have never had vehicle with so many problems. Chevy should fix the problems of the steering.
when ever i put my car in drive even on the tiniest hill my car makes a clunking noise when you hit the gas and turn the steering wheel. i love my impala and i am still going to get another one later on but how many complaints about the same problems does Chevy have to have before they issue a recall?
