My 2004 Impala which i bought a year ago was an amazing car until about a week ago. on the way to change my oil it all of a sudden died. no big deal i pulled over and it started right up. Now after my oil change its been acting really stupid, it will idle and then cut out and then surge, did this to me at a stoplight, whatever, i checked everything all was ok, got back in and drove to friends house, and while idling it started to die but didn't. left got on the highway and no further issues. until the next day leaving walmart, started to cut out while driving home, then stopped. replaced fuel filter, cleaned MAF, still no help. ECM is throwing 3 codes all of which are bank 1 too lean. Usually when i'm on my way home from work (30 mile drive) after midnight it has no problems today it got bad though, i was driving to work and it started like it was gonna die, jerking, coughing, sputtering, i made it to work thankfully but Its a pain in the ass, I'm mad because i like to do all my own work after having several shops take advantage of me, that and they can eat their $95/hour labor rates for something i know how to do myself. I have a laundry list of parts that may or may not be the cause but it totals over $1000!!! the car doesn't scare me it aggravates me. i want to take it behind the shed and shoot it now that i've been having these problems.
