Many of these Impala's I've seen had the left rocker panel plastic cover missing because of one huge problem: rust. It seems to be worse on the left side of the car than the right. If I run my fingers underneath and up against the rocker panels I can feel the rust fall and crumble into my hands like it's dry bread.
