The airconditioner only blows cold air on the passenger side. I changed the driver side actuator and still nothing. When I physically put my hand on the louver in the duct and moved it still has no cold air. Even replaced the temperature control switches and nothing.Is there another louver deeper in the duct that may be stuck? I need advice on what to do here
MY 04 IMPALA only has heat on passenger side. done everything to fix the problem that could be the problem. still no heat. gm knows of the problem and won't recall it cause they don't know how to fix the problem. all they will do is replace everything they know to replace it, but its a common gm problem cause gm cars are junk. i will never buy another one again past 73.
Something must stick in the driver-side temperature control area in the summer when it is cold position for four months as each October I get nothing but cold air on the driver's side. I have to go under the dash and loosen the screws to the electric motor that controls the temperature mix. Once loosened I just move it slightly and put it back together. Takes about an hour total to tear into the dash. My brother-in-law has a garage and he has had other GM products with the same problem. This was the first new car ever and I was almost 50 at the time. Twice I have had to replace the turn/light control on the column (quite expensive) because headlight go out. Speedometer went crazy at around 90,000 miles and replaced it. Had rotors turned twice before warranty ran out at 36,000 miles and then replaced them completely at about 45,000 miles. I presently own 4 GM products and will never buy another one because of this one.
I have never had so much trouble with a vehicle. In October my heater stopped working on one the passenger side, now it only blows mild heat out of one vent. Chevy sucks!
I called Chevy's customer service line to see if any repairs would be covered by my warranty but the idiot on the other end of the phone just said take it to the dealership and have them fix it. DUH!!!!
