backfires when first try to start it, will run but idle goes up and down in rpms. seems like after it warms up it runs fine. check engine light came on once so i had it checked out. the man told me it was the rear oxygen sensor he also went on to say that it could also be other things that cause the light to show as the oxygen sensor. i would like to have any suggestions as how to fix this problem. i just don't want to start buying parts hoping that it fixes the problem any ideas would be appreciated.
i went out to start my car and when i turned the key it sounded like a bomb went off. I then saw smoke frm under the hood and when i opened up the hood i saw the oil filler tube had been blown completely off the motor and something else on the left top side of the motor had been blown apart. ther was a spring from the piece on the left lying by the battery . I thought some one had put a bomb on my car but smething seriouly went wrong in the motor and i am not sure what it is please help
