Since this happened a few year earlier to my sisters car, I thought it as just a defect in Chevy clearcoat.
The sticker patch I put on it kept it under control for about 6 months, then another bubble would appear... So I would patch it again. This went on until the patches were no longer effective and I just let it peel. Most of the clearcoat is gone from the hood now, a little more every month, but since it does not affect how the car runs, I have not worried about it much.
Now I am wondering if this is common in most Chevy cars ...That the clearcoat fails?
Reason I am asking is because part of the warranty on my Toyota was to come in once a year for something like "Paint protection". I'm wondering if Chevy had a similar plan...
