In Feb. of this year GMAC told about a problem with the ignition switch and said there have been 13 deaths caused by these faulty switches. It was April before I could make a appointment which I tried but was advised to wait because I was going to be moving out of state and would have to start the process all over again, so I did.
Well my home still hasn't sold so I called again and was given the same advise. It would take over two more months before they could fix it, how crazy can you be? I travel 65mi. an hour on highways every day and when I move I will be traveling 1100 miles with a faulty switch and the air bags will not deploy which could result in our deaths and apparently GMAC could care less, just another law suite. And the sad thing is GMAC knew about this problem for 10 yrs.
How many more deaths have to occur before they fix this problem in a timely manner. Oh yes, they told us to take every thing off our key chains and just put the key on it, this will help the situation. Are they for real? The car is a 2009 HHR. Please, can anyone help, we are really afraid to drive the car.
