The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet HHR. The contact stated that the latches inside the vehicle failed to operate due to part of the assembly in the door panel fracturing. The contact mentioned that the doors would not open from the inside and the windows were required to be opened in order to open the door from the outside. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was concerned that in the event of an accident, no one would be able to exit the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet HHR. The contact stated that the interior driver side door handle was fractured. The contact would have to open the driver side window and release the exterior door handle in order to exit the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was advised that the door handle would need replacing but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was an ongoing recurrence. The failure mileage was 47,000.
