It was a chilly morning, and I drove the car almost all the way to work (I drive approximately 25 miles, back and forth 5 days a week), and I heard a horrible boom. According to GM, it was the rear-window defroster getting too hot, and causing the window to shatter. It is completely in pieces, shattered. I've never heard of such a thing, but after a little investigating, mine is not the first to do this.
