We have had nothing but issues with this vehicle and we have owned plenty of chevy's(own 7 now)
We had to replace front end for the front rotors at 20, 000 miles(should never happen this early), Struts at 60,000 along with the lower control arms and sway bars, 2 cam sensors, the power steering assist(which has been a recall on other year HHR's but skipped our year) then of course the ignition switch recall which GM replaced about year ago, but now is doing like before just dies after already driving it, lucky for us it has happened on side streets or alleys not major highways or busy streets. only have 86,000 miles on this vehicle so no high mileage at all. Lucky for me I can work on the cars and not pay for a mechanic, just my time. Complained to GM about the ignition but won't do anything with out a diagnostics run and by a gm dealer if it shows bad on the ignition then they will replace and pay for the diagnostics and if it doesn't show the ignition problem again I foot the bill for the diagnostics test. Just cheaper for me to replace the ignition switch myself and not have to go through the hassle. GM has really disappointed me lately. We also have a 2002 avalanche that a GM dealer put a transmission in and forgot to put the seal in it so it got water in it and they tried to blame me for high waters because it had been raining here a lot. This was even after the dealer here showed pictures that the seal was not there. GM warranty is 100,000 miles or 36 months on anything done at a dealer. I had to fight for them to get there adjuster here to say it was their fault and no apologies from GM or the dealer that called me and the dealer here liars. poor service manners
